Indigenous Beading and Drum-Making Workshop

We ended June on a creative high note with a meaningful Indigenous beading and drum-making workshop at our drop-in center. This event was thoughtfully organized by our Culture and Support Mentors and made possible through the strong support of our Management Team and our commitment to community inclusion.

We were honoured to welcome three talented Indigenous artists—Crystal Desnomie, Terrence (beadwork), and Teresa Cardinal—who generously shared their time, skills, and cultural knowledge. Their patient guidance allowed everyone to participate, learn, and connect with Indigenous traditions in a hands-on and respectful way.

A heartfelt thank you to our agency, our Indigenous mentors, and our Management Team for championing opportunities like this that celebrate culture, foster inclusion, and strengthen community connections.
