Clare Parker Homes COVID 19 Response Protocol

Good afternoon, Clare Parker Homes, we are reaching out to provide an update on the COVID 19 Omicron Response. I know we are all exhausted and I thank you for your patience while we continue to work through the Omicron wave of COVID-19 and continue to keep people safe.
What we can do:
- IF YOU DON’T FEEL WELL – STAY HOME
- Symptoms of COVID continue to include:
- Fever/Chills
- Headache
- Sore throat
- Running nose
- Lethargy
- nasal congestion
- Difficulty breathing
- shortness of breath
- Symptoms of COVID continue to include:
- Prior to attending work or out in the community

- Keep your personal bubble small and consistent
- Follow the general public health guidelines and recommendations
- Follow general universal precautions such as:
- Regular hand washing with soap for 20 seconds at minimum (see hand washing sheet)
- Practice proper cough and sneezing etiquette (into the bend of your elbow).
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Maintain safe food practices; and
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick

- SCREENING
- Take your temperature upon arrival

- MASKING
- All employees are expected to where medical grade masks – Fabric Masks of any kind are not permitted
- Face shields or goggles should be worn when providing personal care and disinfected between each use.
- SOCIAL DISTANCING
- All employees are asked to ensure that social distancing of 2 meters is kept as much as possible while working
- Staggering breaks and meals to ensure employees are able to safely eat and drink while maintaining distance
- ENHANCED CLEANING
- Clean high touch surfaces and high traffic areas multiple times during your support time
- Disposable gloves will be required for all personal care. Rubber gloves are to be used for everything else. Each employee is assigned their own set of rubber gloves and is responsible to disinfect them at the end of each support time.
- All employees will be expected to KNOW, UNDERSTAND and FOLLOW universal precautions (listed above)
- VISITORS TO THE HOME
- Having visitors to the home is highly discouraged at this time
- Any visitor needs to be screened at the door and may be asked to complete a Rapid Antigen Test and wait the 15 minutes in their vehicle for the results (if you answer yes to any screening questions)
- VISITING OUTSIDE OF THE HOME
- Any person residing within a CPH home and visiting outside of the home for an overnight or small gathering will have a Rapid Test completed prior to leaving and 2 days following their return.
- CLOSE CONTACT
- Due to the nature of our jobs, we will require you to Rapid Test and have a negative result prior to beginning your next support time.
- We will require you require you to complete a Rapid Test 3 days following the initial test

- POSITIVE COVID-19 RESULT
We will need to move Team celebrations back to virtual for January and February.
As well, we will be looking to reduce the amount of people in the drop-in space to 4 people for the month of January and community people will be prioritized.
